Position summary
Clinical Research Assistant to provide support to the Clinical Trials Office within the Comprehensive Cancer Center; reviews medical records and assists with data extraction, entry, and submission; assists with scheduling and conducting monitoring visits and query resolution; requests medical records and images; responds to inquiries from study participants; assists with bio-specimen processing; assists with tissue requests; schedules patients for research appointments; performs other duties as assigned by project leader or management.
Education and experience
Bachelors degree in general biology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; experience in a clinical research capacity or setting desired; human subjects training and experience in a clinical and/or research setting working with patients desired; computer skills required with experience utilizing Microsoft software applications desired; considerable experience utilizing database applications desired. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
