Finally, it is a vision that provides an authentic rationale for growth in a number of critical areas arising in fields from basic science to public policy.The Division of Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator 1 (CRC1) to work in the Center for Interdisciplinary Brain Sciences Research (CIBSR). The CRC 1 will work on projects combining behavioral & neuroimaging techniques (near infrared spectroscopy and functional MRI) in the study of brain function in typically-developing individuals. The specific focus will be on using brain imaging to understand driving behavior and eventually improving the design of driver information, training and assistance systems. The CRC 1 will screen potential subjects for neuroimaging studies; operate the NIRS system and MRI scanner; administer questionnaires and cognitive/behavioral assessments; archive and organize data from assessments; process and analyze neuroimaging and behavioral data; and assist in statistical analysis of data. The CRC 1 will assist in developing protocols for neuroimaging and data analysis, and will be responsible for various lab maintenance and organizational duties. The CRC 1 will work closely with the team of faculty, post-docs and research coordinators to track project progress, meet deadlines, anticipate project needs and communicate with project collaborators outside of the lab
Duties include:
• Serve as primary contact with research participants, sponsors, and regulatory agencies. Coordinate studies from start-up through close-out.
• Determine eligibility of and gather consent from study participants according to protocol. Assist in developing recruitment strategies.
• Coordinate collection of study specimens and processing.
• Collect and manage patient and laboratory data for clinical research projects. Manage research project databases, develop flow sheets and other study related documents, and complete study documents/case report forms.
• Ensure compliance with research protocols, and review and audit case report forms for completion and accuracy with source documents. Prepare regulatory submissions, and ensure Institutional Review Board renewals are completed.
• Assemble study kits for study visits, monitor scheduling of procedures and charges, coordinate documents, and attend monitoring meetings with sponsors, acting as primary contact.
• Monitor expenditures and adherence to study budgets and resolve billing issues in collaboration with finance and/or management staff.
• Interact with the principal investigator regularly, ensuring patient safety and adherence to proper study conduct.
• Ensure essential documentation and recording of patient and research data in appropriate files per institutional and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in monitor visits and regulatory audits.

Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Experience in a research setting, especially with neuroimaging and/or behavioral research on human subjects
• Experience with Python and/or Matlab

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
• Society of Clinical Research Associates or Association of Clinical Research Professionals certification is preferred.

| Job Summary | JOB OVERVIEW The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will coordinate several research projects for the Program in Genetics and Epidemiology of Neuropsychiatric Symptoms in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. The CRC will be responsible for implementing new and existing research protocols and maintaining genetic databases. Studies include (but are not necessarily limited to): clinical trial on treatment of Hoarding Disorder, genetic research on Hoarding Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Tourette’s Syndrome. Duties include recruitment and screening of research participants; scheduling of research participants; administration of clinical assessments; administration of neuropsychological testing and scoring neuropsychological data; coordination between collaborating research sites; and research administrative tasks such as processing research participation payments and ordering research supplies; preparing IRB application renewals and amendments; and supervision of volunteers and temporary employees. The CRC will also create and manage several databases and train volunteers and staff on and off-site on their use. In addition, the CRC will supervise post-doctoral fellows on the administration of clinical assessments and will train other staff on screening and participant flow. Additional duties include data analysis and scoring of clinical assessments (psychiatric questionnaires and interviews, for example), conducting targeted literature reviews in PubMed or PsychInfo to aid in the writing of grant proposals, presentations, or scientific manuscripts. The Cancer Survivorship Research Team within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to assist with a study involving breast cancer patients and cognitive neuroscience. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will work under the direction and supervision of the principal investigator and/or study coordinator/supervisor. The ideal candidate will have the ability to navigate the multidisciplinary cancer clinic, work well independently and in a team environment and have a strong interest in either medicine, cancer research, and care and /or behavioral science.
Duties include:
- Schedule and/or call subjects for appointments; contact participants with reminders or other requirements.
- Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires.
- Perform clerical duties in the preparation of regulatory documents. Maintain all forms and documents, including consent forms and master subject logs. File all appropriate correspondence.
- Assist with the screening, recruiting, and obtaining consent of study participants. Review medical records and/or perform telephone or in-person interviews to gather data, as needed.
- Administer standard study questionnaires and tests, score test measurements and questionnaires, and code data for computer entry. Perform quantitative review of forms, tests, and other measurements for completeness and accuracy.
- Extract data from source documents for research studies as directed. Collect data and complete case report forms.
- Order and maintain equipment and supplies.
- Other duties may also be assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience administering neuropsychological testing/psychological testing
- Previous experience co-piloting MRI scans
- Previous research experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Two year college degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

General knowledge of medical terminology.

Working toward certification(s) to perform basic patient measurements and tests, such as phlebotomy and EKG.
