General Description

The Safety In Seconds (SIS) 2.0 project is a randomized clinical trial evaluating a web-based program that delivers tailored information about child safety. The Research Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Project Director and will be responsible for all aspects of participant recruitment, tracking and follow up. The Research Program Coordinator will approach potential participants in the PED, explain the project procedures, gain consent and administer assessment interviews. Assistant will monitor participant progress through the study and call participants to encourage completion of follow up visits as necessary. He/she will implement study record keeping, both electronic and on paper, as specified in the study protocol and complete additional research support activities, such as data entry and cleaning or corresponding with the IRB, as necessary.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field required. Some related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula. Must be comfortable approaching parents in the pediatric emergency room. Competency with desktop and tablet computers and Microsoft Office; must be detail oriented and able to work independently.
