Position Overview
We are seeking a Research Assistant (Job Code: 27031) for research on adult and family health conducted by the NorthShore University HealthSystem Research Institute in downtown Evanston, Illinois. This position is full-time, benefits eligible
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide assistance developing, preparing, reviewing, and processing research materials and reports
- Obtain medical records and conduct medical chart reviews
- Write literature reviews
- Prepare results and manuscripts for publication including write literature reviews
- Enter, track, and maintain research data and conduct quality checks
- Work with a strong team to organize the flow of research material
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree or an appropriate combination of education and experience
- Regular travel to the Lake County area
- Collaborative strengths and willingness to be part of a larger research management team
- Previous social science research experience
- Previous experience working with Excel, Access, REDCap, web-based survey tools, and/or electronic medical records
- A commitment to producing high-quality work
- Demonstrated understanding of the research process
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
