Description of the JobPosition responsibilities include assisting with intervention implementation for a community engaged research project, the Wellness Engagement project, based in Petersburg, VA.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining research files
• Coding qualitative data
• Conduct statistical analysis
• Data entry
• Other research related duties as assigned
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, social sciences, public health or related field preferred
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Familiarity with the research process and principles of research design
• Experience with survey research methods
• Experience with conducting one-on-one interviews with research subjects preferred
• Experience recruiting, screening, enrolling, and retaining diverse research participants
• Experience with qualitative interviewing techniques
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations and ethical guidelines related to human subjects research in a biomedical setting
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Able to transcribe and code interview text
• Previous experience with SPSS preferred
