| Job Summary | DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY The UCSF Department of Psychiatry is among the nation's foremost resources in the field of child, adolescent and adult mental health. Psychiatry faculty members are recognized for their leadership roles in state-of-the-art, comprehensive and compassionate patient care, pioneering research, excellence in training the next generation of leaders, advancing public policy to advance mental health, and commitment to diversity. JOB OVERVIEW The individual will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Psychiatry’s Over-60 Program on a federally funded study comparing three mobile health apps for the management of depressed mood, improvement of cognitive control, and improvement in activities of daily living in adults aged 18 and older. Duties include recruitment of participants; database management; providing support related to communication/coordination with multiple partners; development and management of web-based surveys; assisting in the development of new databases; assisting with data cleaning and analysis; collection of fMRI data; assisting with the preparation of reports and tables; attending team meetings and assisting in research coordination, including tracking of participants. | Required Qualifications | • HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Windows • Ability to administer/conduct structured clinical interviews, neurocognitive assessment and behavioral/survey assessment • Ability to collect fMRI • Ability to manage large scale database; generate reports, tables and preliminary analytics • Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills; excellent organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; project management and coordination skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines on concurrent projects • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with patients, co-workers, & physicians Note: Fingerprinting and background check required. |
| Preferred Qualifications | • Experience working with patients or study subjects • Training and experience in the conduct of clinical research trials in an academic research environment • Familiarity with UCSF processes and systems; experience and knowledge of CHR/IRB policy and procedure • Demonstrated proficiency with medical terminology • Ability to abstract data from medical records and transfer it to data collection forms or directly into databases |
