If this describes you, you may be the right candidate for the Part time Epi Research Assistant position with the department of Neurological Sciences.
Position Highlights:
The research assistant will work under general administrative supervision of the Principal Investigator of the grant or research project.
Position Responsibilities:
- Has a thorough knowledge of the research protocols and serves as a resource person to the Principal Investigator
- Obtains, stores and ships specimens, which includes drawing and/or coordination of blood draws and additional specimens as required by research protocol. Processes, inventories and ships samples as per research protocol
- Prepare study documents, workbooks, data sheets and spreadsheets per the direction of the Principal Investigator
- Conducts and collects data via interviews with subjects and caregivers per the direction of the Principal Investigator and per protocol
- Maintains patient and participant charts including editing for completeness and accuracy
Position Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a diverse group of people including elderly patients, caregivers, and staff.
- Must have good organizational skills and ability to prioritize, good judgment and decision-making skills, skill in attending to detail and accuracy in scoring test results
- Computer proficiency required.
