Skills Clinical Research Coordinator II for Harvard Aging Brain Study - Massachusetts General Hospital,
Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. Experienced research coordinator needed
to provide overall supervision of investigator-initiated studies and oversee various imaging protocols
and studies at Harvard Aging Brain Study at MGH and the Center for Alzheimer Research and
Treatment across MGH and BWH. Will recruit subjects for clinical trials, imaging, and other research
projects. Will interface with the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (MADRC) and
with several other study specific coordinators across multiple ongoing affiliated aging and Alzheimer’s
studies. Will perform neuropsychological testing investigating changes in cognition in normal aging and
early Alzheimer's disease.
Responsibilities include:
· Formulating and disseminating vigorous timetables across various imaging protocols;
· Training and supervising operations of Research Coordinators and Research Assistants,
as well as volunteer staff
· Coordinating lab activities; recommending protocol changes and possibility assisting
with writing protocols and manuscripts; overseeing all study meeting plans; monitoring and
evaluating procedure data.
Skills include:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High level of organization with excellent attention to detail.
Familiarity with basic statistics.
Demonstrated high level of discretion, as some studies involve highly sensitive and private information.
Ability to make independent and effective decisions, to interpret information and protocol requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to oversee the work of others.
Ability to interact comfortably with older subjects and dementia patient in a medical environment.
B.A., B.S. required; Masters Level with strong background in psychology, neuroscience, or pre-medical desirable.
