Advertised Summary Job DescriptionThe Research Assistant will take part in the coordination and conduct of clinical trials involving human subject research. Assists in execution and adherence to the clinical research protocols; assists in daily routines to ensure proper execution of clinical research protocols, assists in screening potential research patients for clinical research protocols; obtains informed consent on eligible patients. Gathers data; maintains patient confidentiality. Completes case report forms appropriately. Ensures that regulatory binders are complete and up-to date. Attends training programs, participates in research team meetings and site initiations. Adheres to GCP and FDA/HHS regulations; complies with Columbia University Hospital Policies and Procedures related to clinical research. Performs other responisibilities as needed.  
Minimum Qualifications for Grade
Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics or related science and at least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in training and/or experience.

The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made.
