The Research Study Assistant will be responsible for: Recruiting, enrolling and following study patients Administering study questionnaires Conducting study interviews with patients and families Collecting medical data from patients’ medical records Assisting with data entry, management, and analysis Assisting with the preparation of oral presentations, posters and manuscripts Providing meeting support (e.g., tend to logistics, prepare materials, take notes) Performing literature searches Filing human subjects review board protocols Overseeing confidentiality of all research data To qualify, you must have… Bachelor’s degree Interest in subject areas of pediatric diabetes and psychosocial issues in chronic disease Self-motivation and ability to operate independently The ability to prioritize assignments and become familiar with new topics quickly Excellent writing and communication skills Attentiveness to detail High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Outstanding candidates will possess the above skills plus prior research/patient care work and experience with basic statistical analyses This is a full-time Research Study Assistant position working in clinical research in the Division of Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities in support of ongoing health care delivery research involving adolescents and young adults with type 1 diabetes.
