The Research Study Assistant will be responsible for:
  • Recruiting, enrolling and following study patients
  • Administering study questionnaires
  • Conducting study interviews with patients and families
  • Collecting medical data from patients’ medical records
  • Assisting with data entry, management, and analysis
  • Assisting with the preparation of oral presentations, posters and manuscripts
  • Providing meeting support (e.g., tend to logistics, prepare materials, take notes)
  • Performing literature searches
  • Filing human subjects review board protocols
  • Overseeing confidentiality of all research data

To qualify, you must have…
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Interest in subject areas of pediatric diabetes and psychosocial issues in chronic disease
  • Self-motivation and ability to operate independently
  • The ability to prioritize assignments and become familiar with new topics quickly
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Attentiveness to detail
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding candidates will possess the above skills plus prior research/patient care work and experience with basic statistical analyses
This is a full-time Research Study Assistant position working in clinical research in the Division of Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital. This position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities in support of ongoing health care delivery research involving adolescents and young adults with type 1 diabetes.
