13108 - Research Technician I

The Research Tech assists the Principal Investigator within the Wells Center for Pediatric Research. This position is responsible for investigative research related to asthma that includes assessment of airway function and airway biology. 

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, small animal surgery, physiologic measurements in-vivo and in isolated lung tissues, immunohistochemical staining, light microscopy, histology, tissue culture and protein assays. 

To be successful candidates must be able to work independently and communicate effectively; must maintain safe laboratory practices at all times. Also must be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently, with good time management and problem solving skills. 
 
Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a science major.
