The Per Diem Clinical Research Assistant will be responsible for:
Supporting nursing research studies within Cardiovascular and Critical Care Services.
Assisting in study activities, daily operations, and recruitment of participants for
multiple research projects.
The coordination of preparation activities and for the daily operations of clinical research studies.
The screening, consenting, recruitment, and selection of patients for studies. Serving as
liaison with the study coordinating center and other participating sites.
Preparing IRB and CCI documentation and submissions in conjunction with the Principal
Investigator.
Conducting data collection activities and preparing analytical reports regarding results of studies.
Writing articles and summary papers for submission to medical journals.
To qualify, you must have:
Well-developed communication skills in order to provide information to
participants, effectively deal with conflicting views or issues, and
the ability to mediate solutions.
The analytical skills to gather data in which information or
problems are complex.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel,
with an ability to quickly pick up new computer programs.
The organizational skills to effectively work in complex studies .
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related discipline.
