| Job Summary | JOB OVERVIEW The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will coordinate several research projects for the Program in Genetics and Epidemiology of Neuropsychiatric Symptoms in the Department of Psychiatry at UCSF. The CRC will be responsible for implementing new and existing research protocols and maintaining genetic databases. Studies include (but are not necessarily limited to): clinical trial on treatment of Hoarding Disorder, genetic research on Hoarding Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Tourette’s Syndrome. Duties include recruitment and screening of research participants; scheduling of research participants; administration of clinical assessments; administration of neuropsychological testing and scoring neuropsychological data; coordination between collaborating research sites; and research administrative tasks such as processing research participation payments and ordering research supplies; preparing IRB application renewals and amendments; and supervision of volunteers and temporary employees. The CRC will also create and manage several databases and train volunteers and staff on and off-site on their use. In addition, the CRC will supervise post-doctoral fellows on the administration of clinical assessments and will train other staff on screening and participant flow. Additional duties include data analysis and scoring of clinical assessments (psychiatric questionnaires and interviews, for example), conducting targeted literature reviews in PubMed or PsychInfo to aid in the writing of grant proposals, presentations, or scientific manuscripts. | Required Qualifications | • HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities • Coursework in Psychology • Previous research experience • Proficient computer skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated excellence in reliability and attendance • Ability to work independently • Detail oriented, highly motivated Note: Fingerprinting and background check required. |
