Job Description


Clinical Research Assistant (Job Opening 445336) - Clinical Research Assistant assists with clinical research projects and studies within the Wright Center of Innovation, Department of Radiology as directed by PI and Director; assists with research patient recruitment; assists with collection and processing of image data; assists with recording, consolidating and back-up of research data; assists with analysis of research data as specified; prepares materials for research documents, abstracts and grant proposals; performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience


Bachelor's degree in biology or other relevant field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in a clinical research capacity conducting clinical research studies preferred; requires successful completion of a background check; candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

University of South Carolina Clinical Research Assistant - Psychiatry: Addiction Sciences Division

he candidate will assist the Principal Investigator in the recruitment of research participants, the collection of psychological research data, data entry and organizational tasks for studies being conducted in the Department of Psychiatry, Addiction Sciences Division. The candidate will work on research studies which focus on Cocaine and Marijuana Addiction, with a current concentration on gender differences in cocaine and marijuana using behaviors The research assistant will be directly involved in the collection of questionnaire, interview, laboratory and other research data.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)

FLSA: Hourly

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Abilities and Knowledge: Preferred two years of work experience as a Statistical & Research Analyst I. A bachelor’s degree with mathematics and/or statistics courses may be substituted for the required work experience. A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, biology, nursing or other natural, life, or health care field preferred. Knowledge of computer based information systems desirable. Ability to present information effectively in both written and verbal form.
